Norway. ~PONDERING THE UNKNOWN~ Our trip started off with someone taking my backpack at the airport, fortunately airport security grabbed him. Turns out it was an honest mistake, we both had the same pack! We ventured high into the Hardangervidda Plateau for several days and through the beautiful Fjords surrounding Trolltunga. If there was one county I'd love to explore more of, Norway you are it!
Vancouver. ~THE SEAWALL~ Many folks walk around the seawall everyday. It is a favorite city walk of mine when I'm heading to work or don't feel like going too far from home. This particular day the clouds and light were incredible.
Richmond. ~FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS~ Scouts was awesome. Earning badges, camping and Bush craft skills. 25 years ago.. Time flies, I never thought I'd grow up. Magic was real and mom always kept me safe. Maybe turning 34 this month has got me feeling nostalgic.. "Dirty thirties" should be renamed "I don't care if my socks don't match anymore thirties".. Just sayin...
Galiano Island. ~LET'S GET THIS STARTED ALREADY~ 42 days left before the big kick off on the pct. It's getting crazy as we downsize our apartment this month. Sell off most of our belongings and start to make our final plans before we fly out to San Diego! For now, here's our camping spot on Galiano Island.. Let's go back!
Juan De Fuca. ~MORNING GLORY~ Speaking of mornings, what gets you out of your sleeping bag when it's time to wake up? Do you deflate your air mattress? Have to pee? Or just an early riser? I'm curious to know!
Juan De Fuca. ~FOREST CANOPY~ The first 20km of trail was mostly forest. There were some breathtaking moments of crashing ocean waves. I came face to face with a Mink that was probably expecting food. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk that day, it was a good mix of roots, mud and well, more mud.
